Wow the only good one I can see here is Angus Young. New Found Glory? Good Charlotte?? Are you freaking kidding me??? If you think those guys are skilled guitarists you gotta start listening to real music. Almost all the people on this list only use 3 basic chords in their songs. I gotta say Angus was really good. But New Found Glory has no musical skill whatsoeve. The Ramones made good music but they also didnt have much musicl skill. Same goes to Sex Pistols, Green Day and The Clash. But Good Charlotte, NFG, and The Vines arent even considered as being talented by the people who actually know music.
Granted, some of these bands are pretty bad (IMHO), but seriously? Not Angus Young, Dee Dee Ramone, or Paul Simonon? I think Simonon at least should definitely be on a top 100 list.
Actually I think and this is hard to admit to but Good Charlotte are actually, yes actually worse then backstreet boys or nsync.
They have nothing but some serious studio backing to keep them afloat, that and the endless pockets of millions of teens blind to another source of their "angst" which I use lightly.
So in some cases saying a band sucks would be a cheap way out, but in this case, the band simply sucks.

I just feel that bands like Good Charlotte bring no artistic talent to the table. Their lyrics are all "I hate my father", blah, blah, blah...

I admit that I haven't heard much of them, but I shiver when I do.
That's cool, it just seems like things have gotten a little testy here, and I wanted to stay on top of it. Perhaps I'm being a bit too controlling. In any case, you're certainly welcome to hate the band. I'll bow out now... :-)

Well, I'm probably a little sensitive, having just come off deleting an entire discussion on another list. And of course, dcstar is mostly criticizing the band rather than anarchy, although blasting away on multiple fronts (lists) seems a little over the top. Then again, I've never heard anything by Good Charlotte, so perhaps they are awful enough to induce such zeal. :-)

I think in a "Who's the best rock lead guitarist" poll - you should not need to list the group they are in.
But, after seeing this list - I see you do.
None of these so called guitarist can compare to Clapton,Jimi,SRV, Page, Beck.
Hell, I didnt need to list these guys entire names and everyone knows who I am talking about.
