Who Is the Best Actor of the "Matrix" Series?

The person must be in at least two movies.

Oh, and BTW, I used the IMDB, so don't think I remembered all of these characters on my own.

Where's Joey Pants?

Who?

You know who
Why, oh why, didn't I take the blue pill?

Ohhhh. At first I searched for the character "Joey Pants" on IMDB and got only this (see Paul Sampson). But yeah, I didn't include Pantoliano because he was only in the first movie. Actors have to be in at least two Matrix films to qualify for this poll. Sorry.

I vote for none of them. Can I do that.

I'll say that Carrie-Anne Moss looks real good in leather.

I vote for Neo's jacket, because of anything in the film, that jacket is the most believable thing in the film(s). :?)

T'ho

:?)

That flagrantly CGI jacket? Gimme a break.

Just have to reference Mr. Smiths, "It's not fair" quote near the end, (it was his last). I don't know if it was Hugo who put the childs inflection on that line or not, but I thought it was great.

Oh yeah. His acting in that part was great, in my opinion. I loved his monologue, which was brilliantly acted and written.

Reference: IMDB (minor spoilers)

"Why, Mr. Anderson? Why do you do it? Why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you're fighting for something? For more that your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know? Is it freedom? Or truth? Perhaps peace? Yes? No? Could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson, vagaries of perception. The temporary abstracts of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose. And all of them as artificial as the Matrix itself, although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love. You must be able to see it, Mr. Anderson. You must know it by now. You can't win. It's pointless to keep fighting. Why, Mr. Anderson? Why? Why do you persist?"

Best actor career-wise, or best actor in these movies alone?

And do I have to see all three to vote?

The latter, and no.

Alrighty, I'll just go ahead and contribute to Weaving's shutout then...

Yeah - I expected him to win, but I didn't quite expect this landslide. Still, I contributed to the landslide, so...

BTW, who would you have voted for if it was best actor career-wise?

Lawrence Fishburne, although ironically his acting in The Matrix movies comes close to disqualifying him. :-)

Hmm, I've only seen Fishburne in the Matrix series and "Mystic River" (where he was pretty good, but not the best performance in the movie). Anything to recommend, besides "Apocalypse Now", which I know I really must see?

I specifically remember liking him in Boyz N the Hood and Searching for Bobby Fisher. I also remember liking the movies The Color Purple and School Daze. Finally, I thought he was good in Othello, even if I didn't particularly enjoy that production, as I recall.
