Bit of trivia: Michael Palin had to play one of the dirty peasants crawling in mud during the "Bring Out Yur Dead" scene. He was a mud-eater, meaning he had to be scen eating mud. The set designers put some chocolate down in there that looked like mud anyway, so Palin couldn't tell if he was really grabbing a chuck of mud or chocolate to eat anyway. But the 2 Terries were directing the movie, and I think Gilliam was in charge of this scene. He kept yelling cut. Palin is known as a good-humored man like all of them, but after about 14 cuts and 14 times of "Cut!" being called, Palin lost it and started yelling and banging the mud and swearing and comlaining because he realized that while he'd been eating mud that he'd never been on camera anyway. He had the whole set and actors in stitches and on his side because the directors were being perfectionist, which unfortunately direction much be to the point of being anal.
