Ubik is a good book if you like science fiction. It gets pretty complicated at some parts because of the futuristic stiuations Philip K. Dick puts the reader in, making you have to keep track of all the new technologies at play, and all the...psychic powers at play.

I've read a number of Dick's books so yeah, know they tend to get weird. I still haven't gotten around to reading Ubik though.

I very much enjoyed the DeLillo book, but I would vote for the Phillip K. Dick book. Its interesting, humorous and entertaining. I waded through the Marquez book also and its good, not his best, but still good.

Thanks. Let me guess, the best of Garcia Marquez would be Love in the Time of Cholera and One Hundred Years of Solitude? I've read and loved both.

I would go with Solitude but it's awful close. I loved them both and both are on a select list of books I have read more than once.

There is way to do it! It's called the comment field. I voted for Carrion Comfort because Dan Simmons rocks!

Hmm. too bad there's no way to (optionally) identify yourself when you vote..

To whoever voted for Brief Interviews of Hideous Men: I started it but put it down for now. His other book of essays I loved. This one I just couldn't get into.
