Hey, rather than updating this list you might want to consider deleting it and re-creating it (judiciously using cut-and-paste, of course). Otherwise folks can't vote on it more than once (I assume when you update it you'd like a new set of votes?).
Because I went through and changed the way I was doing italics to fix the ability to search on them and apparently doing that doubled everything up! (Thanks for reminding me, I forgot to mail Jim about it).
I don't know how one of the "Watch" books can sit on your shelf for any length of time. So light, so fun, so quick. And with the latest just out in paperback, too . . .
Haven't read very many of these but I voted for Clockwork Orange anyways. It's a great book, and would be even better if you hadn't seen the movie yet(which I might add is a great work in and of itself).

ahh. good point. then again, i haven't gotten around to reading the vote-winning Clockwork Orange yet anyhow.. (oops)
Kristin, why does almost everything on your list have 2 entries in the results?

I try not to read too many pratchett books at a time, instead spacing them out between other things :)
My shelf is more than one shelf. In fact, more than one bookcase so well.. things sometimes take awhile.
Although I must admit I was tempted to vote for Humans.

I've seen it but so long ago that I'm not sure it'll affect my reading of the book much.
