please post a comment if you like it because im trying to get more listologist to say, so that jim will watch it! Come on jim, give in!!

ok im finding it hard now to find another..hhhmm, wait! Ibangs said his wife liked the film...does she count as a listology memeber?? :)
While I'm sure she has impeccable taste, she has never, as far as I know, contributed to Listology, and is thus ineligible.
If my wife has ever posted here, it is news to me.
I will restate, though, that I rather like The Pallbearer. If one can get past the fact that it does have echoes of The Graduate (though I really don't think it is the ripoff many claim it to be), one will find an overlooked drama with some very funny touches of comedy.
That plus my recent post on Vertigo is no doubt proof that the critics' patrol is coming to take me away very soon...
Shalom, y'all!
L. Bangs
Alrighy, if you two can scrounge up one other person I'll give it a shot. L, if your wife signs up, kicks in a list, and endorses the movie, that'll do the trick. :-)
Well, I am a tad trigger-shy; I do not know if you personally will like the film.
I did, though, much, much more than I expected to like it.
Shalom, y'all!

lol only one more person! yay!
jim, i think if you do watch it you will like it. but ok if LB's wife was to endorse it, you'd settle for that?
but wait isnt him saying it on that post earlier good enough?? ok ok, im trying to cheat here!
ok one more person!
Nope, I'm definitely looking for a level of commitment to the movie that includes being willing to endorse it in a public forum. :-)
yes its unfair to compare it too the graduate. as you said it in no way was trying to rip it off. its a great film on its own.
thx for your help in the war on "getting jim to watch the pallbearer" :) thx
Keep in mind that merely garnering three votes won't do the trick. You need to get three Listologists to publicly sing praises to the movie's virtues. And if you do find three such Listologists, and I thus have to watch it, if I hate it I reserve the right to make the three (or more) of you watch any single movie of my choosing. :-)
Jim, would you be willing to watch the Pallbearer if it was just a part of a movie swap? If so, that sounds easier than looking for three Listologists to sing its praises. If you think you will hate it and are looking for a good way to get back at Rushmore, I've got a suggestion.
85 hours!? Sweet mother of god. Now that would be revenge for ya. See what you might be getting into, Rushmore? :-)
... and it would be cool if you could point me to LBangs' endorsement. I can't find it at the moment.
ok! ha ha ha ha! i found Ibangs evidence!! HERE hahah! lol
and i'll search some more, so the score is 1 down 2 to go!
I counter your LBangs with Stooky. But that's not now the game is played, I guess. :-)
Hey, did you change the wording of the poll items after voting commenced? I see five votes in the DB that aren't being counted because their signatures don't match up with what's currently in the poll.
yeah that was because, i just changed the name and idea of an existing poll i had before. so the votes on my profile are wrong. but i decided that as long as i can provide proof, then that is ok..i hope :()
... and you do know The Pallbearer has a score of three here, right? I refer you to rule [B] of that list:
"Only put a movie if it didn't entertain you at all. If it sucked the life out of you, if it had no merit. Don't put a merely bad movie. Put one with no value for any reason."
I am now officially living in dread of you finding three Listologists to endorse this sucker. :-)
dang! sucked the life out of you, damn thats harsh! ok ok, instead what i'll do its type "the pallbearer" into the search and find 3 possitive articles and post them here and i'll find that Ibangs one!
MMMMUUUUAHHH!!!
