I rented the 30th Anniversary Edition DVD of Night of the Living Dead. It will be my first time seeing the movie (in fact, the first time seeing any George Romero film). The DVD contains a remastered version of the original 1968 film as well as a re-edited version with about 15 extra minutes and a new score. Is this new version better than the 1968 version, or am I better off sticking with the old one?
Comments explaining your vote are highly welcome and probably helpful.

Having recently seen the original, it's hard to imagine how it could be improved upon by adding more minutes.
Especially considering it wasn't George Romero who added on those minutes, but rather Bill Hinzman (who played the graveyard zombie).
If you have to ask this question, man.... Seriously, though, the 30th Anniversary Edition is an abortion and a disgrace to cinema.
Yeah, I was just making sure. Some movies actually are improved with extra footage, and considering they were on a shoestring budget in 1968, I thought given more time and money they might actually improve the film. But point taken about Hinzman, I'll watch the original.
