Godfather IV?
I absolutely loved the first two Godfathers, huge, amzing movies that are very important to me. I was interested in seeing Part III to get closer, to see if Michael really could legitimize the family business like he said since the first movie. It just seemed right to have The Godfather as a trilogy, because Part II didn't really close the story.
But when I saw Part III, I was shocked. I guess it wasn't too bad of a movie, if you just forget completely its attached to the other two movies. But my God, it couldn't hold up to its predecessors. It should've been called Godfather, the Nostalgia Trip, or something that didn't put in the same league as the other two. But it had its moments (definetly not when Sofia Coppola was on screen, that's for damn sure) and I think a part IV would interesting, if done VERY carefully.
Perhaps have it done in flashback, like part II, with De Niro playing a middle aged Vito, get a Young Michael and Sonny intereacting and see Hymen Roth and all those lost years, all the while seeing what Andy Garcia does with the family business in present times. Remember, Michael didn't die untill 1997, so Pacino could still be in it. It would be awkward, because of his death at the end of part III, but definetly could be done. But should it?

If I have to watch Sophia Coppola "act" again I'd rather be drawn and quartered, but that's just me.

Yeah, Stooky I agree but:
She gets killed at the end of Part III
I can't believe I forgot! That's probably what blew the film for me, you were supposed to be upset but I was just really glad, overjoyed even.
My interest went up with that little tidbit.

I"m so sorry, I tried putting spoiler bars on that part, but it didn't work, oh well. No one should watch that movie anyway....
Fixed. For future reference, the tags are SPOILER tags, not SPOILERS.
Thank you, you have prevented many a flame. How did you do it?
You mean "how did I edit your post?" I just tinkered with the database directly. There are few places I wield such power, but this is one of them. :-)
If you mean, "how did I get it to spoilerize correctly", you had this:
<SPOILERS> stuff </SPOILERS>
That is not a recognized Listology tag. You need to depluralize it:
<SPOILER> stuff </SPOILER>
That's all I did when I edited your post.
Yeah I meant how did you fix the post. Thanks man, you rule.
