If I had voted about 15 years ago I would have voted The Doors, was hugely into them at one point. Nowadays I'd lean more towards The Velvet Underground.

I can say this:
I hear a LOT about how influentail the VU is today and what genres the VU helped to create.
However, today's music sucks compared to the Doors, so.....you figure it out
I think each of their masterworks (The Doors and VU & Nico) stand side by side, but White Light/White Heat wins it for The VU.
