Physics declares that matter can be neither created nor destroyed. Since I think that's probably true of all things, and that transformation is pervasive and all-encompassing, I think that whatever we are (body, soul, mind, spirit) probably moves on in another form to something else. If it could do that all in one piece, though, I would think we'd have more evidence of it by now.
