Which version of The Shining? The made-for-tv version (Webber) was more true to the book, but the theatrical release (Nicholson) was much more frightening.

Did you consider Delores Claiborne for the list? I haven't seen several of these so I can't compare it to them. I did like it better than Pet Sematary, but that's just my opinion.

I'd highly recommend you see it. Its sometimes labeled "Horror", but I think its just a label given because its a Steven King story. But it is no more horror than is Shawshank or The Green Mile.
