Nothing about Larry Bird? That man was simply magic, the kind of player that not only dominated the court but whose playing style inspired his entire team to get better - I'm not a Boston sports fan, but I can't explain how awesome a confrontation between the '86 Celtics and '95 Bulls would have been!
yea, I was trying to think of a definitive moment for Bird, and I couldn't choose, so for now there's nothing about him. Maybe when he stole the ball against the Pistons in the playoffs?.....
These brought back such wonderful memories. Thank you.
I can't believe I'm the only one old enough to remember the comeback in Game 5 of the 2008 ALCS. Down 7-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning of an elimination game the Red Sox came back against the Tampa Bay Rays with four runs in the 7th, three in the 8th and they walkoff in the 9th.
Over time the mind can play tricks on you but I swear I can remember it like it was yesterday.
psssst Foulke underhanded the ball to Doug Mientkiewicz in 2004.
...and he spells it "Vinatieri"
haha, yea i might hafta expand this list to 11 after last night.. simply magical....
