I really don't know anything about sports, but the list looks pretty darn good. The Top 10 looks accurate enough to me.

I was reading this, trying to think of some one that you missed, and that was the only name I could think of. The list is pretty much exactly what is should be.
By the way, it's Wayne Gretzky, with a Z.

Well, I've probably made too many suggestions as it is, but I have one more: I don't think Babe Ruth deserves to be a top 5. Aside from hitting home runs, he wasn't much of an athlete. Every picture I've seen of him, he had a beer-gut in. Not to under-estimate his accomplishments, because he is a legend, but as far as top 50 athletes I don't think he measures up. Just my opinion of course, but I felt it needed to be said.
You forgot the one of the most obvious athletes ever: Don Bradman!
