- Packers-Founded in 1919. 12 championships and 8 conference titles. They are the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team in the country.
- Bears-Founded in 1919 as the Decatur Staleys. 9 championships and 4 conference titles.
- Browns-Founded in 1946. 8 championships and 11 conference titles.
- Steelers-Founded in 1933 as the Pittsburgh Pirates before switching to the Steelers in 1940. (In 1943, due to players shortages as a result of World War II, they merged with the Philadelphia Eagles to become the Steagles. In '44, they merged with the Chicago Cardinals to become Card-Pitt, or the "Carpets") 6 championships and 7 conference titles.
- Cowboys-Founded in 1960. 5 championships and 10 conference titles.
- Redskins-Founded in 1932 as the Boston Braves. However, because some thought Braves was a bit disrespectful towards Native Americans, they changed their name to the Redskins a year later. They moved to Washington in 1937, where they've won 5 championships and 12 conference titles.
- 49ers-Founded in 1946. 49ers refers to the gold rushers that flocked westward in 1849. 5 Super Bowls and 5 conference championships.
- Patriots-Founded in 1959 as the Boston Patriots. Took current name in 1971. 3 Super Bowls and 6 conference championships.
- Raiders-Founded in 1960 as the Oakland Senores (chosen through a local newspapers name the team contest). However, that same year, ownership realized what a crappy name that was and went with the third place winner, the Raiders. In 1982, Al Davis fought the owners to move the team to LA. However, in 1995, Davis decided to move back to Oakland. 4 championships and 4 conference championships.
- Dolphins-Founded 1966. 2 Super Bowls, 5 conference titles, and the only undefeated season in NFL history. (Ugh) The Dolphins was also decided in a naming contest. (Pretty crappy choice for a football team if you ask me)
