This is my first entry, so it's bound to be lame. Besides, I've got work to do.

No, it's not a lame list at all, and besides, it's your favorites. Nice to see someone giving much needed love to Vanilla Sky as I have. I don't know about Instict, if it's the version I'm thinking of - with Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr. If it is, I didn't like it at all.
Good list!
Wow, two (three, if you count me), Vanilla Sky fans in one place! And I know there are a couple more lurking around here somewhere. Have either of you seen the original, Abre los Ojos? If so, should I?
I remember seeing Vanilla Sky the weekend it opened, at a late screening, and being completely mesmerized by it. I was the only one, though; my wife couldn't get into it, and everyone in the theatre grumbled about how confusing it was. I actually had to explain it to a couple of people walking out of the theatre.
I've seen Abre Los Ojos, and it's spectacular, perhaps better than Vanilla Sky. Do check it out.
You're starting to account for a healthy percentage of my "to see" list. I just added Ojos, thanks!
Good idea. Ojos isn't as freaky-deaky as Vanilla Sky, but nonetheless more enjoyable.
Hey. How's it goin? Thanks for the posts, I'm afraid it is the one with Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr. I recommend watching it again, it's got a great philosophy aspect to it.
Vanilla sky is much better though. Are there any movies that you recommend?
Feel free to check out my ongoing movie lists for 2004, Seen in January 2004, and Seen in February 2004. Some of my favorite films are on these lists.
