Figure the flip side to the first list.

You know, I was thinking about cloning this list or the companion one, but I think it'd be pointless, since you nailed 'em all. My lists would look a lot like yours. ESPECIALLy good calls on "Day in the Life" and "I Believe When I Fall in Love."

Here are some I thought of:

Desolation Row/ Highway 61 Revisited/ Bob Dylan
Whipping Post/ Allman Brothers Band/ Allman Brothers Band
Gold Dust Woman/ Rumours/ Fleetwood Mac
Brain Damage/Eclipse/ Dark Side of the Moon/ Pink Floyd
Salt of the Earth/ Beggers Banquet/ Rolling Stones
Watching the Detectives/ My Aim is True/ Elvis Costello

My Aim is True doesn't end with Watching the Detectives. I'm fairly sure it ends with I'm Not Angry, which is still a candidate for best closing song.

Actually, dcstar is right. My Aim Is True does end with "Watching the Detectives." "I'm Not Angry" is the 11th song. Unless you have a different, horribly bastardized copy, AAA.

But hey, I like "I'm Not Angry" better. Maybe we could make a list of Best 11th Songs on Albums. Let's see, Costello could also make the list with "Lipstick Vogue". I personally love Rundgren's "Marlene." Then there's "Hypnotize", "Nightswimming", "Absolutely Sweet Marie", "In My Life"... :-)

Actually, AAA is right if we're talking about the original release of the album. It's my understanding that "Waiting for the End of the World" was only originally on the UK version of My Aim is True and "Watching the Detectives" wasn't on either the UK or US original release. They were both added later in the US. I could be wrong, but I think that's the story.
