Fruit and how hard it is to eat them (lol)

Tags:

I don't know, I randomly thought of this list while I was eating some fruit. Since my experience with fruit is very limited, I'll update this whenever I encounter a new fruit.

Apple
Depending on how you want them (whole, cut, or cut and peeled), prep is either easy, with only a wash needed, or slightly difficult because you have to wash, cut, optionally peel them, and place the apples in a container. Eating a whole apple is harder than eating small pieces. After you finish it, you need to throw away the core and wash your hands, or just wash the container. Overall, the apple is pretty easy to eat, but obviously, cutting it involves much more work.
Prep: 2/10 (whole), 4/10 (cut), 6/10 (cut and peeled)
Eat: 5/10 (whole), 3/10 (cut)
After: 3/10 (whole), 6/10 (cut)

Banana
The lazy man's fruit. Preparation involves peeling the banana, and disposal is as hard as finding the closest garbage can.
Prep: 2/10
Eat: 1/10
After: 2/10

Blueberries
These things are small and kind of annoying to wash, but at least they're easily edible.
Prep: 4/10
Eat: 3/10
After: 6/10

Canteloupe
Almost as annoying to cut as watermelon. They would be, too, if they were bigger, or if you have the really small and cheap kind of watermelon.
Prep: 8/10
Eat: 4/10
After: 6/10

Charries
Pretty easy to prepare, but eating them requires you to actually pay attention and not eat the seed. You also need a container, and to wash that container.
Prep: 3/10
Eat: 4/10
After: 6/10

Grapes
Similar to cherries, but prep is easier since you only have to hold one bunch to wash instead of many cherries. Seedless vs. seeded also affects eating.
Prep: 2/10
Eat: 4/10 (seedless), 6/10 (seeded)
After: 6/10

Grapefruit
A less tasty and bigger version of an orange.
Prep: 6/10
Eat: 6/10
After: 6/10

Honeydew
These things are almost identical to canteloupes, but easier to cut. I forget whether these are the orange ones or the green ones though...
Prep: 7/10
Eat: 3/10
After: 6/10

Lemon & lime
Does anyone actually eat these? I sure don't. They're also irregularly-shaped, but they're nice to look at.
Prep: 6/10
Eat: 10/10
After: 6/10

Mango
Like a large apple, but not so apple-ish. Wow, I'm surprised how a lot of fruits can be summarized into an apple.
Prep: 6/10
Eat: 4/10
After: 6/10

Orange
An apple, but one that you can't eat whole. They also taste kinda different.
Prep: 5/10
Eat: 5/10
After: 6/10

Peach & plum
Apples, but you can't cut them. Well you can, but I don't.
Prep: 2/10
Eat: 4/10
After: 3/10

Pear
Also apples, but something happened when they were born and they got disfigured. Usually, I cut them, because they're weird to eat whole.
Prep: 5/10
Eat: 3/10
After: 6/10

Pineapple
This thing is a bitch to prepare, but it's worth it. This thing also gets bonus points because it can stab you, and it hurts.
Prep: 11/10
Eat: 3/10
After: 4/10

Strawberries
Pretty much identical to the other berries. Which makes sense, since they're all berries.
Prep: 3/10
Eat: 4/10
After: 6/10

Tangerine
For some reason, I have more fun peeling these things and removing all the white stuff than actually eating them. Don't ask me why.
Prep: 6/10
Eat: 3/10
After: 5/10

Watermelon
If only there was an easy way to prepare watermelon... oh wait, I know! Smash it on the ground, and just eat it from there. Unfortunately, people rarely do this, so preparation is quite hard. Even harder if you want it in chunks instead of slices. But, chunks are easier to eat. Clean up is medium for both methods, because they both involve you doing something. As opposed to nothing.
Prep: 8/10 (slices), 9/10 (chunks)
Eat: 7/10 (slices), 3/10 (chunks)
After: 4/10 (slices), 6/10 (chunks)

I know there are a bunch more fruits that I know, but I can't really think of them at the moment.

Added a bunch more.

What do you think of pears? They're a lot like apples, but softer.

Haha, thanks for the suggestion. I've added it along with a bunch more, and changed some of the numbers.

I'm vegetarian and I don't like fruits which I think is odd. I just don't like their umm squishiness? and internal composition. Bananas especially, the rest are still okay. Milkshakes are so much better, a mango milkshake is great in summer :)
