Sky Captain was better than I was prepared for it to be. Sure you could say it is all style, no substance, but I'm not sure profound "substance" is always necessary to amke a movie worthwhile. The look of the film was pretty incredible, and it really did remind me of an older type of sci-fi (books, not even necessarily older films).
