Author Comments:

I was displeased with Rolling Stones' Immortal List, so i decided to do my own version of it. These are not my personal opinions per say (otherwise Nirvana would be number 1 hahaha) but who feel had the greatest influence and legacy.

Comment what you think! I'm really hoping to hear it, regardless of what it is.

And please ignore the asterisks (sigh).

Nice addition of Mr. Guthrie to the list

While the effort is appreciated, and a few artists are added that deserve to be, this list is just as displeasing as Rolling Stone's list. I know you may have tried to include more all-genre artists, but this list is still far too biased towards rock music. I mean, can you provide me with any, literally ANY reason why Pink Floyd should be ahead of Louis Armstrong? Or Woody Guthrie? Hell, can you make arguments for any artist on this list? I'm not saying they're all undeserving, but I'm curious as to how and why you made these decisions.

Good list I think, although there were a few artists I felt were misplaced. Patti Smith has no business that high. The Temptations down at 84? How are Pink Floyd, The Ramones, or Otis Redding, greater than Stevie Wonder?
