Hey, let's mix and match to create the best cast possible. My ideal SNL cast would include Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Jane Curtin, Gilda Radner, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Will Ferrell, Darrell Hammond, Cheri Oteri, Norm MacDonald, Eddie Murphy. I might make room for Chris Farley and Billy Crystal too.
that is a pretty definitive cast my fav host for that show would probably Steve Martin He was such a great host SNL made a video dedicated to his best moments.

If I chose from these 5, I'd go with the 1992-3 cast. They had their own charm and professionalism. And the glory days of "Deep Thoughts," I believe.
i liked charles rocket on weekend update, that 92-93 class was very great and is definatly the most popular, my favorite skit by them is Waynes World
