I finally did it I have my favorite 100, it took alot of thought but I think I got it.

Wow, this is quite a list! You've managed to include some favorites from many Listologists here. I've seen many of the movies on this list, but I'll have to check out the ones I haven't. Random thoughts:
Nice to see Vanilla Sky rate so well. I wouldn't rate it nearly so high on my personal "top 50" list (had I the guts to create such a list), but I did like it quite a bit, and it was critically slammed on arrival. Have you seen the original, Abre los Ojos (I think that's it - I haven't seen it myself).
As much as I (guiltily) enjoyed From Dusk to Dawn, I'm surprised it's the sole representative from both the Rodriguez and Tarantino camps.
I assume Red is the Krzysztof Kieslowski movie? I have this vague notion that that's a rather unconventional choice for a favorite out of his Trois Couleurs trilogy. Not that I disagree; I'd actually have to watch them again before I could attempt picking a favorite. I just seem to recall seeing Blue or White come up more often.
You do have one movie on here I couldn't get into enough that I turned it off about 40 minutes in: Bringing out the Dead. <Shudder> Ah well, can't win 'em all. :-)
Y'know, I have no idea why I say this, especially since I've never seen any of his movies, but this list looks like it wants a Lars von Trier movie. Complete intuitive leap from way out on a limb there...
Fun list!
Dear jim,
Im glad you enjoyed my list. i myself perfer red out of the trilogy eventhough blue was terrific.White made me sleepy.yes i did see abre los ojos but i feel cameron crowe did an amazing job. The reason why i loved bringing out the dead and scorsese is because he captures the essence of everything around him.PLEASE GIVE IT A SECOND CHANCE.I am not a big fan of tarantino as a director but as a screenwriter he has his charm.
Alrighty, I'll think about giving Bringing Out the Dead a second chance. It'll be tough for me though. Usually I either like or love Nicholas Cage, but in this one I found him terribly overwrought. I suppose I should at least watch it all the way though - it is a Scorsese movie after all.
Yes please do you will be pleasantly surprised!

Believe on, those of true cinema spirit!!
God at last another Elephant Man fan, I saw the movie recently and it is easily one the best films I've ever had the pleasure of viewing, cheers for the great list.
What a fantastic list. I'm very surprised (and pleased) to see Russian Ark so high up. I really liked that movie, I want to see it again when, or if it ever comes out on DVD. I liked Bringing out the Dead as well. A lot of people say they can't take it because it's not SCORSESE. I still think it's better than a lot of movies that come out.
Cheers!
RUSSIAN ARK IS A FANTASTIC MOVIE! EVERYONE SHOULD SEE IT.
I actually think your 50th movie is called "My Life in Pink," the foreign title is "Ma vie en rose." I thought that movie was good as well. A little strange, but not bad.
I think your right I might of mixed the two laguages together.
Great list, but how could you include Roger and Me, but not Bowling for Columbine?
I did enjoy Bowling for Columbine but I loved loved Roger and me.Eventhough it was a great movie it did not effect me like the others did.
For including Double Indemnity and Ran, you get bonus cool points.
Thank you,Thank you.
Are you in Rehab for auto enthusiasts? teehee
Oh you! No...if you want the truth about my title, here it is:
Many moons ago, when I first joined Le Listology, I was thinking of a title. Then, I figured that if someone went to the member listing, I wanted to be spotted early. So, I chose (at the time) the highest title. I figured that not many would replace AAA up in the top of the alphabetical order. Yeah, sad, I know, but i was young and foolish.
Ironically, I still can't drive. A sad 18 year old, I am.
I really agree with Requiem for a Dream. Great choice for #1!
Thank you!
Mary did you know you can auto-number your lists?
Yes I did, I just keep on forgetting to do that.
I always love to discover fans of After Life. I took a chance and caught it in the theater, and I am very pleased that I did.
Great list!
Shalom, y'all!

I adored that film.
I'm glad you loved it too.
Are you two talking about this? If so, I'll queue it!
That's the one I'm talking about. It is a terrific film!
His latest, Nobody Knows, is also terrific.
Shalom, y'all!
