The Womens' tennis rankings began in 1975.
The #1 position fluctuates wildly between different players, and at the moment, the world #1 is Victoria Azarenka. Previously it was the Danish Caroline Wozniacki, who, incidentally, is better looking than the similar sounding Aleksandra Wozniak. However, the list here is compiled in chronological order of when each woman was #1.
