The London Overground is a new London transport initiative, taking over from various lines owned by other companies, now falling into the control of Transport for London.
It is represented on the Underground map by a double-orange line, acting as an orbital route going around London but without going through the city.
With the completion of the East London Line extension, the East London Line will cease to be an Underground Line and become part of the Overground.
