A comprehensive listing of all the winners of the Formula One Drivers Championship.
In 1970, Jochen Rindt won the championship posthumously, dying during qualifying practice that season.
John Surtees in 1964 became the first person to win a world championship on motorcycles AND cars.
Ayrton Senna technically won the 1989 championship, but was disqualified, handing Alain Prost the title instead.
Damon Hill won in 1996, and is the son of Graham Hill who had won in 1962 and 1968. They remain the only father-son team to win a Formula One world championship.
Nine racers have managed to win back-to-back titles, including, most recently, Sebastian Vettel.

I hope Kimi Raikkonen wins it next year.. well, him or Jenson Button, who hails from my hometown. But I don't relly like the latter.
Nahh...Martin doesn't like Kimi Raikkonen. So I'll root for the Brits.
Seems that you were wrong :D
