- New Kids on the Block - Hangin' Tough (on tape, actually copied from a "friend")
- Tiffany - eponymous (on tape)
- Debbie Gibson - Electric Youth (on tape)
- Whitney Houston - Whitney (tape)
- The Scorpions - [no idea] (tape) my mom bought me this for Christmas one year, trying to be hip, I think. I'm pretty sure even then it came from the bargain bin. :)

and still own, sadly. anyone have suggestions on what to do with old music tapes?

Sadly, I owned all those except Tiffany.
But..I owned:
Boyz II Men- the one with "Poison"
Janet Jackson- 'Janet'
'Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em and 'Too Legit to Quit'
New Kids- The Christmas Album
Paula Abdul and Mariah Carey tapes galore.
My God, I am ashamed.
I'm a little older so I actually push into the Barry Manilow (Mandy)and Morris Albert (Feelings) era when they still sold 45s. I also have a Leo Sayer album that looks brand new.
Back in college when CDs were brand spankin' new, a lots of record stores in Buffalo got rid of their "unsellable" albums by pricing them at 10 cents a piece to move them. I still have some classics that somehow escaped smashing at parties. My favorite is Run Joey Run, probably the worst song ever made.
at least (i'm assuming, given your use of the past tense), you've gotten rid of them. I still have them. I think I don't have 'Janet' but instead, Rhythm Nation, which I distinctly remember copying from my older cousin, who I thought was the coolest.
