- The Passion of the Christ
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
- Saw
- The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
- Shrek
- Hearts in Atlantis
- One Hour Photo
- I wanted Robin Williams to pull the performance off, but he and the film both try way, way too hard.
- Finding Neverland
- I just don't get it; how does this cheery, childish optimist create the melancholy, poetic world of Peter Pan. Nothing new to say, whole lot of cliches to mine. Johnny Depp just kind of stands in frame while Kate Winslet is given nothing to do but cough.
- The Last Samurai
- Wake me when Zwick gets over his fascination with white people pairing up with interchangeable minorities to learn important life lessons.
- K-Pax
- Proof that Kevin Spacey's semi-retirement was for the best.
- Grandma’s Boy
- The least funny thing anybody involved will ever do.
- Ray
- One of the worst biopics in a decade of bad biopics. Good performances can't save a script that somehow makes a non-fiction life story feel derivative and uninspired.
- Alien vs. Predator
- Freddy vs. Jason proved that this sort of thing can be at least a little entertaining. This is just a joyless chore; it feels like everybody involved just felt obligated to make it.
- House of Sand and Fog
- One half of the film's narrative is perfect; Ben Kinglsey and Shoreh Aghdashloo brought me to tears more than once. But the other half of the narrative is one of the most god-awful things I've ever had to sit through in my life. It's a shame.
- Igby Goes Down
- Like the title character, the film is just too damned pleased with its unexceptional self.
- Lost and Delirious
- I feel bad picking on a film so damned earnest in its intentions, and evidently this has a huge cult following as a cheesy sapphic curiosity, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a film more clumsy, obvious, and cliche in its execution.

In order of passionate dislike.
