The 80's in me tends to be partial to A Flock Of Seagulls and Pet Shop Boys. The rest however tend to make me barf. Good list Waco.

I really dislike Seagulls (the little I've heard), but the Pet Shop Boys were borderline; I finally added them because I thought their name would make a good capper for the list. Maybe I should asterik their name as a quasi-choice?

I would have to say that Papa Roach is quite underrated by the highbrow critical community, for though on the surface they appear to be just another angst-rock band, their songs usually have some message, some good reason for the angst, and they write songs which today's youth can relate to..

They're not the worst out there, but they haven't done a whole lot to differentiate themselves from the rap-rock scene they're part of. They may be sincere, I won't doubt that, but was it Oscar Wilde who said, "All bad art is sincere"? PR can play, so here's hoping they push themselves creatively...
