Good selections! I haven't seen some of these (Fort Apache, Mackenna's Gold), but Once Upon A Time in the West is probably my favorite from this list. Incredibly awesome movie.

Have you seen Winchester '73, The Man from Laramie, or McCabe & Mrs. Miller?

My fave is Unforgiven, but Once Upon a Time in the West is great too. Mackenna's gold has a good cast (Omar Sharif takes the acting honors), but it's kind of an oddball western/treasure hunt with a mini-apocalyptic ending.

I don't think I've seen any of those three. I take it you recommend them.

The most recent western I've seen is Kevin Costner's Open Range, which I have written about here.

I'm going to have to check out Mackenna's Gold--sounds interesting!

I recommend those 3 very much. Actually, I got a whole bunch of recommended Westerns, but those are the 3 that jumped into my head first.
