- Surprise.com - a fabulous site for brainstorming about the person you're buying for--hundreds of categories, from hobbies to occasions.
- McPhee.com - very kitschy, very whacky items like punching nuns with boxing gloves and cocktail drink monkeys. if only i lived in seattle and could visit the store...
- PlumParty.com - outstanding for entertainment and theme party needs, but also great for strange gift basket ideas.
- Eziba.com - rather like a pier 1 store, but with way more integrity (check out the ethical guidelines). nice imported and handcrafted decor, jewelry etc.
- RedEnvelope.com - a tad pricey for my tastes, but if you're going for classy, this is a good place to start.
