thx L:) yes all the ones below in your other post were also made after scrubs..dang!
will it ever come out?? lol
Others (I think all these shows premiered after Scrubs did, and they all have at least one season on DVD):
Chappelle's Show
24
Six Feet Under
Alias?
Reno 911
Da Ali G Show
Without a Trace?
There are a lot more, I'm sure, but the ones I thought might be I wasn't familiar with, so I didn't know when they debuted.
DVDs cut into syndication fees. Since the episodes will always be there producers rarely feel the need to pre-empt their syndication pay-day with a DVD pay-day. Because most shows don't go into syndication until they've hit the 100th-episode mark don't expect syndication until Season 5... and DVDs until they hit (ohh... let's say) the eighth season if they make it that far. Remember: Seinfeld doesn't have all of its stuff out on DVD yet and part of that is due to its continued success in syndication. Episodic narrative hour-long dramas often come out on DVD a lot earlier because they command a lower syndication fee and fans tend to throw down for a complete package of shows while casual television viewers have trouble following the series when it's aired five times a week. But fear not, you shall not wait in vain.
yes, thats true they usually wait untill about 100th episode but when the ones listed above come out in some cases in their 1st season, i think.."oh come on!" lol but you are right it usually works the way you mentioned
Listen up, Newbie:
The cover story of the November 26th Entertainment Weekly is "The 50 Best TV Shows on DVD." One of the sidebars (and EW knows that you can never have too many sidebars! It's enough to make you want to find a real bar...)
But, as I was saying: one of the sidebars had the title "We're dyin' for..." and it said:
"Doctor, we need a DVD, stat!... While the reasons for the delay remain under wraps ("As I understand it, they're waiting to sell the show into syndication," Braff said in July) a Scrubs rep says that a DVD will be released "probably sometime in 2005." Just what the doctor ordered --Allyssa [The Double Letter Strangler] Lee"
Yes!! oh my god thats cool news. thx
