In absolutely no order whatsoever. A chronology would be really cool, but I don't have time for that right now. Maybe one day.

These are shows that for one reason or another stick out in my mind when I think about watching television in the past. Most shows I watched fairly regularly. (some I obviously had to watch because of my parents--Hee Haw? come on.)

Gosh, did I do anything else besides watch TV??

I will add more when I remember them (some probably triggered by late night reruns) More comments will come in time too.

The name of that show with Sha Na Na singing the same song every night was called, I believe...Sha Na Na. Creative, huh? I watched it too. I thought Bowser was the coolest!

Min, a chronology would, I believe, emphasise how television's version of 'community standards' has changed - many would say deteriorated - over the past three or four decades. One relevant scene from The Simpsons I will never forget: Homer and Marge are in bed watching TV, and Marge says: "Oh My! look at that. Fox became a hard-core porn channel so gradually I hardly even noticed."

Gee, I hope other people got my meaning. If you want to get technical, though, at dictionary.com, it states:

"chro·nol·o·gy (kr-nl-j)
n. pl. chro·nol·o·gies
1. The science that deals with the determination of dates and the sequence of events.
2. The arrangement of events in time.
3. A chronological list or table.

chro·nolo·gist or chro·nolo·ger n."

This was my intended meaning when I used the word. I believe a chronology can apply to any sequence of events, or list as it were, if the events are indeed in order chronologically. Incidentally, my list is not in chronological order, obviously. I don't know which word would better impart the meaning to which you refer.
(Sorry if I'm a bit testy today...you caught me on a bad one. I mean no offense.)

Min, no offense taken, but I do know the meaning of 'chronology'. Sorry for not making myself clear. What I meant to suggest was that if you put your list in chronological order and then compared the earlier items with the later ones you would notice the remarkable change in what was and has become permissible on our television screens. In, say, the 1970s a show like SEX IN THE CITY could not have been made, let alone shown.

A-HA!! Sorry for taking you so literally. I now see what you mean. It would be interesting to look at, wouldn't it?

wow, the mini-series V! would you believe i used to own the first couple comic books of that? they'd probably be worth something if i kept em... and then didn't marc singer go on to be the beastmaster or something? good lord, i'm having flashbacks. thanks for the memories!

Sifl & Olly was great!! very funny. Chester was the funniest though
