Films one can enjoy with the help of psychedelics or not.

Well done!
I agree on most of this list.
Pi was indeed incredibly trippy.
Almost too trippy.
I damn near had a headache when it was done...
and it's canadian!
Actually Pi isn't canadian. It's Cube I'm thinking of.
Dune. That IS trippy. And somehow I've seen Strange Days so many times I forgot it was trippy.
If Lost Highway is on there, Eraserhead and Mulholland Drive should definitely be on your list.
I just put Lost Highway on there. Haven't seen Eraserhead or Mulholland Drive (even though I own it).
Apocalypse Now
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Mulholland Drive
Being John Malkovich
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
The Wall
Eraserhead
Dogville
12 Monkeys
Dark City
Requiem for a Dream
Trainspotting
Spirited Away
Brazil
Thanks for the suggestions, the only ones I haven't seen are "The Wall, Eraserhead, and Dogville." It's interesting that I pretty much despise all of the rest except for Trainspotting. "Being John Malkovich" is my 2nd most hated movie of all time, after the "English Patient."
"Fear and Loathing..." is horrible too.
I guess I'm being rude, but we obviously have very different tastes.
The majority are prententious pieces of crap, imo.
Some of those I don't like either (Fear and Loathing I absolutely despise, except for the beginning ["bat country!"]), but they're all undeniably trippy.
I guess for me, "trippy" implies more sci-fi type movies. The ones you listed aren't trippy for me, although I can see how the could be for others, depending on your taste.
Across the Universe [Not Sci-Fi]
Party Monster [Not Sci-Fi]
The Fifth Element [Sci-Fi]
Oh and The Fountain (done by Darren Aronofsky, whom also did Requiem for a Dream and Pi)
Haven't seen the Fountain nor Across the Universe, and I forgot about Requiem for a Dream, so I'll add it... thanks.
Also, I hated Fifth Element, so that one is out.
I saw Pi the other day, it blew me away, an amazing film. And also, what a soundtrack!
eXistenZ? Its Canadian! =p
good call!
Anything by a Hong Kong Director called Wong Kar Wai. Especially Fallen Angels and Chungking Express.
What's so trippy about Minority Report? I love the movie, just not sure it's all that trippy.
And might I suggest Videodrome?
Minority Report has many trippy parts. For example, the scene with the old lady gardener, and the entire pre-cog room. It's just a really 'out there' concept.
I'll add Videodrome.
