- Note that this is just a little preview of my top 200 list that i will be making in the futre. This is my first list, and i just want yall to uh... yknow... see what kinda taste i have.
- Heres a little history about me. I grew up listening to rap and r&b music. I watched BET throughout middleschool up until 8th grade. I started hanging with the emo kids then. I got into metal after that. then I heard sandstorm for the first time at a dance and the rest is history. My search began..................
- Yes, i used to be a douche who typed in "Techno" on limewire to find music. I used to fit the description perfectly on TranceAlcarits you are not a techno fan list. Which was very funny by the way. But now, two years has passed, im a senior in high school, and i am now a little wiser when it comes to trance, although im still kinda new at it, so, yeah... kinda consider that when you bash my list (or not, hopefully...)
- *oh yeah, and in case you were wondering, yes, i am a black guy. that uh.... is probably not important... but um... you uh... you know that now. Now onto the preview!!!!!
- 1. Orbital-Halcyon (Prodigy Remix)
- I was surprised to see that no one had this on their list... they had the +on+on version which is also good. When i first got this, i listend to it for 2 hours straight. No lie. I was looking at art on this website called Deviantart.com, and i had this playin in the background.Aw man that "eeeeeeee (eeeee) lalalalala ooooooh la la laaaaaa lalalalala is just so relaxing. I know that the vocals are from that song It's a fine day turned backwords, which is just so amazing how they made that sound so good. I like this version because its more ambient, and that buildup that starts around 5 minutes is just..... the ultimate. Yup this track does it for me. 11 minutes of bliss, son.
- 2. Eric Prydz- Call on Me (Radio Edit)
- My guilty pleasure song....When my friend showed me this video on YouTube, i watched it like 15 times. I after the first 3 times, the hot chicks didn't even matter to me, i fell in love with the music, man. From that first buildup to the final fade out, this song stays lovely. The one vocal sample "Call on meeeeeeeeeeeee, callon me" gets stuck in your head dude i swear.
- 3. Telepopmusik-Breathe
- Ok, before you click the back button thinking, "man, this is a bullsh** list from another douche" just wait, ok. This song is here because it is the song that kind of got me into trance. kinda like a... Big bang for me.
- 4. James Holden- Nothing (Returning 93 mix)
- Yeah, this one is pretty good. (That's an understatement....) To be honest, i downloaded this song like two nights ago, and already, its like one of my favorites, man. Its that good. The vocals on this song make it what it is in my opinion. I like how he chopped up and played them backwards or whatever he did. It sounds weird, which is good. I like weird.
- 5. Sasha-Xpander
- You all've seen to have heard Xpander, so you know what's good. ain't Nothin i can say that most of you haven't said already.
- 6.Oceanlab- Clear Blue Water (Ferry Corsten Re)
- Aw man, this woman can sing. That verse gets stuck in my head when everytime i hear it. You know, that "Cleeeeeeear, Bluuuuue waaaaaaaater...." And that melody can almost bring a tear to ones eye.
- 7.Tiesto- Suburban Train
- Crazy buildup, son. Amazing song.
- 8.Solarstone- Seven Cities (AVB Re)
- I love how this song starts. As soon as you turn it on you get that mms kah mms kah mms kah, then it slows down for a little bit, and when it comes back, that bass seems like its thumpin louder! Can't help but to nod yo head to that. Oh, but then theres an ambient part with guitars.... then right back to that mmms kah mms kah mms kah. Just a hype ass song in my opinion.
- 9. Lucas & Beltram-Trust Me (Ava Mea Remix)
- At first i though this song was alright, but then I found myself listening to it alot. I'm not familiar with instruments used in trance, so i can't describe it to you like that.... all i can say is GET THIS SONG
- 10. Energy 52- yeah... you know what imma bout to say
- My friend burned me a CD with this song on it back in 10th grade. Id always pass by that song though, because i'd here the beginning and think,"oh some boring techno song...." Then when i finally decided to give it a chance, about three minutes in i got turned off by the long (iguess its called a breakdown) so i switched it to a different song. It wasn't until that summer, I saw the video for this song, which is like 3 minutes and some change, and thought, damn, that melody is nasty!!! I found a three minute version of the song, and uh... its now one of my faves.
- 11. Push -Universal Nation 2003
- OMG. This song is so hype, son. i like how after the first (breakdown?) it gets quiet then it just starts going up from there. I also like Push's strange world which will be on my later list.
- 12. Darude- Sandstorm
- Yeah, i like the song that much, ok. this is also one of the first trance songs i ever heard. I remember that day, i was at a dance, in 8th grade, the lights were flashing.... and i was dancin with this hot ass white chick...
- 13. Hallucinogen- LSD
- This is the song that got me into the i guess its called "GOA" genre. I love the various vocal samples on this song, especially the one where he says, "HE'S LOSING HIS MIND, AND FEELS IT GOING!!!!"(or somethin like that) I especially like the last 2:30 minutes of this song, where there's just so much going on,and sounds everywhere, but somehow, it all sounds... right. I've heard Mahadeva by a.p. and Teleport as well. Those will be on my big list.
- 14. Future Sounds of London-
- once again, i aint even gotta say the name of this classic, u know what it is. wasn't this song made in the early 90s? Yeah, they definitley live up to their name. I love how the hip hop sounding beat has like a piano sound over it, and there are some angelic vocals in there to. Then some ladie comes in and uh... skats a little.
- 15.Underground Resistance- Hi Tech Jazz
- Yeah man.... i don't care what nobody say this track is sick. I ain't gon lie, i first heard this on Midnight Club 3. I couldnt stop listening to it after that. I just love the bass the sax the clapping sounds all fit over the top of this beat that sounds like it would be in a Sonic the Hedgehog game.
- So there you have it. A little sample of my taste and my debut on listology. I've been looking at lists on this website as a reference for nearly 6 months now, so i figure its time to post a list of my own. Like i said my next list will be a serious list, and who knows, my top 15 may be different. im still looking for good trance songs, and im just now hearing some of the songs that are on this website, and maybe they need some time to grow on me...
- Before you leave or post a remark, you probably wonderin , where are these songs?!!:
- THE "BIG BANGS" of trance
- Age of Love- Age of Love (Jam $ SPoons watch out for stella mix)
- Yeah, i own this song. and i think its alright. The one part that turned me off was when that loud ass noise kicks in after about 1:20 and keeps getting louder and louder. I hate that. Otherwise, this may be a top tenner.
- Dance2Trance- We came in Peace
- Yeah, this one was aite. To tell the truth, it kinda bored me though... so uh... yeah. since it is a "Bigbang" song of trance, i will keep it in my collection though.
- Other songs i saw on alot of lists
- Humate-Love stimulation (PVD Club mix)
- Yeah i own this too. its pretty good. I love that crazy piano. Which reminds me, i also like For an Angel by PVD.
- LSG- Netherworld
- Son, this dude Lieb... a genius. I love that part with the little riffs. ( who doesn't though...) I know some will despise me for saying this, but I like Tiesto's remix of this song too. I think its good man. Like i said earlier, i don't know why they be hatin on Tiesto, son. Somebody gotta tell me what he did/does to make people hate him... Anyway, I also own Acapulco. That songs decent. I can't find any of his Spicelab work on Limewire though, everyone says me Amorph is good... I also can't find paraglide...
- And yes I do own:
- Beachball
- Offshore
- Saltwater
- Finished Symphony
- Born Slippy
- K. So uh... yeah.... any kinda comments are welcome. I don't get offended by nothin ( I mean who would, it's a freakin online discussion board....) so you can say what the hell you want. I would like to thank the following people for their lists. They really contributed to my collection.
- Darktremor, Lassic.... damn, i know i'm forgetting some of you but those two, i've used the most. So thanks guys. And thanks to all of you who post lists up. i've probably read yours. ayyyy......

Please could you learn the difference between techno/trance and house?
Eric Prydz - Call on Me for instance, hardly techno is it? or entrancing?
There's actually a number of things on here which really annoy me, and the fact that Age of Love and Dance 2 Trance bore you says something. Please organise all those bullet points, you can do a special numbering thing when you edit the list.
Also, the way you got bored by the intro of Cafe Del Mar, there's a lot longer out there on some classic tracks, so I'm not sure what the appeal of electronic music is for ya, repetition is one of the whole points of it. Also, there's a reason Tiesto is hated, that is because he is a sellout, who can't mix for shit and nowadays puts rubbish on his amazing "Super Mixes". Also, most of his recent production is trash too.
One last thing, could you not write in this style...
"This is my first list, and i just want yall to uh... yknow... " If you have a pause, you don't need to write umm, or yknow, or ... because no-ones waiting for you to say something, it's not live conversation.
Thanks for being a deuche.
Oh, you're welcome :)
Probably not much point commenting on a list that doesn't look like it's been updated in 5 years... but it's showing up in the related section of one of my own lists and has been bugging me.
There's no such thing as a Prodigy remix of Orbital - Halcyon. In fact, to my knowledge The Prodigy have never remixed anything by Orbital. More than likely you downloaded the original with a false label.
