Half life = 100% Agree / Bring it on!
Zelda = 100% Agree / hell yeah!
Indiana Jones and the..= Not Played Yet
Monkey Island = 100% agree
Starcraft or Warcraft = ? Never played
Metroid = Hell Yeah!
Homeworld= Who?
Metal Gear Solid = No, it would just end up another action movie to the collection of many!
Homeworld is a 3D RTS from a couple years ago. Awesome story. The only game that ever made me cry from something other than frustration.
And, re: MGS, it's true that any of these items could end up crap if made into a movie, it always depends on who is involved in making the film.
lets hope its not "john woo"! lol..c'mon? he made hulk??
Um, no. That was Ang Lee. John Woo made Face/Off and MI:2.
:{} Ang Lee then
First off, live action movie versions of video games have never really been what you might call... good.
Reasons:
Mortal Kombat: it was passable, but only because Christopher Lambert was in it
Mortal Kombat Annihilation: was made to keep the actors off welfare
Alone in the Dark: BAD
Bloodrayne: BAD
Bloodrayne 2: ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE
Far Cry: not even Anthony Bourdain could save it
...and the list goes on.
Half-Life - never played it
The Legend of Zelda - would make a questionable movie
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis - after the last Indiana Jones movie... NO, JUST NO
Monkey Island - never played it, but after seeing the box, no
Starcraft or Warcraft - never played starcraft, warcraft - not even Peter Jackson could make it good
Metroid - too simple
Homeworld - never played it
Metal Gear Solid - just no
