5. The Longest Time

I need to listen to more Billy Joel, especially since I'm his second cousin, once removed.
Cool, cool. Have you heard Only The Good Die Young (in my top 5 songs of all-time) or Scenes From An Italian Restaurant?
I have, but clearly not enough to get a full appreciation of them. I do recall the first line of Only The Good Die Young though.
I promise, the next artist I become fanatical about will be our Billy. Hey, I'm allowed to call him "our."
When you list "In The Middle of the Night" at #10, don't you actually mean the song "The River Of Dreams," of which the first line is "In the middle of the night...I go walking in my sleep?"
Yep, I do, sorry, it's just that I have it tagged as "River Of Dreams (In The MiddleOf The Night)" and got confused. Thanks!
Billy Joel is a great artist. My favourite song is We Didn't Start the Fire, closely followed by This is the Time to Remember. In fact the only song I miss here is Leningrad.
Leningrad hasn't ever been one of my very favourites; however I do still enjoy it greatly!
By the way, happy holidays to you!
But maybe This Is The Time is even my favourite by Joel.
Hey Wezzo,
Nice list of Joel songs. "Big Shot" is one of my favourites; do you like that one?
Hey AndyGibb :)
Actually, I haven't heard that one. Any idea which album it's on?
It's on the album "52nd Street", released in 1978. I don't have that album, but my parents have an album of Billy Joel's greatest hits, and it was included on that, which is how I heard it.
Ah, right. I'm surprised I don't know it, actually.. huh.
Haha, on July, 2, I'll see him live in concert. :p
Ahh, you lucky bastard! :) You'll have to let me know how it goes!
Well, it was expensive enough, with 107 Euro!!!
Wow, quite a bit then - still, I think it'll be worth it! Where are you seeing him?
Oh, he'll come to Frankfurt, Germany.
And Sting comes to Luxembourg on July, 13, I think. But I won't see him.
And I saw Billy Joel twice at Wembley arena earlier this month! Which you know about anyway, but I will still boast about it.
Just to be pedantic, it's just "This Is The Time," No "To Remember" in the title.
Ah right - ta!
