I am begining to lose faith in this list, as pointed out below, it is missing Chinatown. Also, I just viewed The Night of the Hunter, and it is not a film noir. A quality of a film noir is the absence of a happy ending. The Night of the Hunter had a happy ending. =/

I did notice Chinatown was missing. I haven't seen that one though, but I have heard a lot about it.
