- Metallica - Justice for All Tour - Cap Centre My First Show and the best gift ever, thanks Sis. I was near deaf for two days. The pulling down of Lady Liberty was very loud. A live music junkie from then on, too bad I didn't have a car for a couple years after that.
- Bad Religion - Black Cat Club - I caught the first DC Brian Baker show with Bad Religion. Damn near life changing. The Supersuckers rocked. Sam I Am was pretty good too.
- Jane's Addiction - Lollapalooza, the first one 91, Lake Fairfax, an amazing set. A great band in their prime. I remembering seeing a Porno for Pyros show and they played Mountain Song, I screamed like a little child. All the HS kids there thought I was nuts. Too bad they didn't get to see that other show, they would have too.
- Johnny Cash - Warner Theatre - This was just after the release of American Recordings. Saw it with my Dad. Just a cool experience. Yo La Tengo opened up, the drunk rednecks didn't warm up to them until they did a nice version of Hank's I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry. Great Show.
- The Might Mighty Bosstones, 9:30 Club, This was my first show at the new location and the Tones were still supporting Question the Answers album (none of that knock on wood stuff). I've seen them about 8 times but this show I was skankin' (the dance thing) for about 2 hours. It was just after a snow storm. Kind of a vivid memory. Mighty, Mighty......

I could dig deeper but I think these five were the most influential.
