I have to admit that "classic rock" radio has killed most of these songs for me. Except for Paint it Black which is probably my favorite. Torn and Frayed and Let a Light Shine (and most of Exile) is on my playing list now.

I am re-discovering the Stones.

Cool. Everyone has different taste but if you haven't heard the whole albums yet, Let It Bleed, Exiles on Main Street, and Sticky Fingers are a great start. Exiles probably has the least number of overplayed songs out of the three. I've found that Greatest Hits albums, especially with groups like the Stones who have hundreds of great songs, a lot of my favorite songs never end up on them (and never get air play).

Thanks for the names of certain albums.

40 Licks has brought The Rolling Stones a new audience, and with good reason - It's a killer compilation.

My advice for exploring the band a bit deeper ( not that you asked for it ;) ) would be to nab the classic albums. I'd give Aftermath, Beggars Banquet, and Let It Bleed a shot, and then, if you're really ready to dive in, try Exile on Main St. Be aware, however, that even most rabid fans who adore that last album didn't care much for it the first listen or two (and that includes me, even though it is now easily one of my ten favorite rock albums).

Great list!

A friend of mine has made me appreciate the stones.

people now hava a wrong idea of the stones and see it as a hard rock band because of songs like start me up and nobody really listens to the albums like i do and aprecciate the talent of the stones. they are a great blues band and their albums are great
if anyone wants to get into the stones you should and you won't regret it
listen to the albums Let It Bleed first because its really good and simple unlike Exile on main st wich is much more complex but also the greatest stones album and one of the greatest of all time beggars banquet also really great for me better than sticky fingers but all those 4 albums are great, also don't forget to listen to the early stuff the blues covers albums really great stuff
