Granted, this is a very subjective list and one greatly limited by the amount of movies that I have never viewed. It also is subject to change upon remembrance of formerly viewed nearly forgotten movie that comes to mind or one that I haven't seen yet. I declined from numbering the list so as to avoid the dilemma of choosing a #1 pick. Moulin Rouge, Run Lola Run and the Usual Suspects are 3 movies that should be viewed by everyone.

It is good to see Serenity there. It ranks at the top of my list for many reasons, most of them emotional.
As for the rest...
I found The Usual Suspects unoriginal and amateurish (except for Bryan Singer's keen visual sense); Run Lola Run was all gimmick and no substance; I expected to hate Moulin Rouge!, and I did hate the first 30 minutes, but the rest I loved very much, and so far, it's the only movie I've managed to find where Nicole Kidman is actually tolerable; Braveheart is a very good epic, though for some reason, it does not attain greatness; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is an enthralling and mindblowing experience until it segues into a poorly-conceived romantic interlude, but it is still very good; Snatch. is all style and no substance, but somewhat amusing; the same goes for Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, though it is considerably less amusing and tolerable; and Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring may be the lesser of the trilogy, but it is still an excellent fantasy work.
I sadly have to disagree with nearly everything you said. "The Usual Suspects" was very original (and I'm interested to know what you saw as unoriginal in the movie). "Run Lola Run" was tremendous, and managed to show amazing character development with a wonderfully original plot. The beginning of "Moulin Rouge" is like being beaten with a rainbow-colored baseball bat, but works well with the movie. I think "Braveheart" is one of the top 10 epics of all time (possibly 5). Without the girl's conflict from her time in the desert, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" never comes together. How you can not appreciate "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" is beyond me. The latter being the significantly better movie. Great movies. You need to rewatch. FOTR is definitely the best of the trilogy. The story developed is terrific. Although, I see how people that desire more action are turned off by the the first one.
