  • Favorite song: So What...this song begins the triumphant album with a bang, when I hear that opening bass riff, it's hard to stop listening

  • Favorite song: I.G.Y.... My favorite song on this album changes frequently, but I.G.Y is the one I will always go back to first.

I think this list has some variation but is also representative of the stlyes and eras I like. My favorite genres are Jazz, Rock, Pop and Funk. My favorite era is the 1970s.
I did not want to include any one artist twice. My favorite artist is Steely Dan, and I would have probably put at least 4 of their albums in my actual top 10. However, I did get around it by choosing Fagen's The Nightfly as number 10.

I have liked Steely Dan for a while, but only recently (last couple of years) did I get around to listening to Fagen's The Nightfly, and I loved it! It's one of those few concept albums where the concept stays in the background (can even be ignored) and doesn't get in the way of the songs. Even the cover art is classic...
