- "Love is not a victory march / It's a cold and it's a broken 'Hallelujah.'" - lyric from Jeff Buckley's re-imagining of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". This is true love; the kind of love that God has for us. We are not called to love God just when things are good and we are happy and we see God working in exciting ways. Loving God means choosing to life to praise God when we are broken, alone and hurting and don't see God in our lives. It's the "sacrifice of praise." I nearly cry every time I hear this lyric.
