Although not the greatest of all time, they are easily some of the most humorous movies of all time, filled with laughter at every turn.
Some honorable mentions, I wonder if Old School is better then Animal House. Or if the Original Vacation better then Christmas Vacation. Not to mention any Gene Wilder/Mel Brooks combination is a barrel of monkeys.

Great list! Of these, I've seen all except for "Chrismas Vacation", and each one is indeed very funny.
In hindsight, I do believe that Best in Show or Spinal Tap belong in the list. My choice is on best in show.
Next Christmas, you should make a point to watch Christmas Vacation every time it comes on TBS or USA, its a Christmas classic along with A Christmas Story.
Nice to see all your choices were not movies that appeal to the humor of a 10 year old boy...(the kind that bodily function is the primary or only source of laughs)
Is Blazing Saddles a guy thing? I really didn't think it was that funny at the beginning, and it just kept getting worse...
For what it's worth, my girlfriend thinks it's hilarious.
