I'm looking for suggestions for movies about one lone alien amongst humans on earth.
Argh. I feel like there should be a ton of these, and yet I can't think of any others at the moment. It's making my brain itch.
1. "The Thing (From Another World)" ;
2. "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (if you consider Gort the robot as only a device);
3. "Predator" (if you consider "returning visitor" );
4. "E.T." (if you consider "discovered". )
Well, my brain doesn't itch any more, I just feel like an idiot. ET and Predator; of course! Well done.
Ah, L. I was hoping to avoid the "malicious" alien amongst us theme but I guess they count. Maybe I'll sub-divide them later.
Peace loving, non-threatening aliens only, unless you back them into a corner and they take out their blaster ray guns and fry your ass.

On a more serious note... With the additions of your SURVEY0018, 0019, 0020, 0021 and 0022, couldn't you be a little more distinct on what you're looking for. We'd like to make sure we don't offer you any further suggestions that you aren't looking for.
The reason I mention this is I noticed the "The Day The Earth Stood Still" didn't make your aliens on earth list either.
But it did make this list.
How about Garry Shandling's recent bomb, "What Planet Are You From?"
