I'm not a theatre luvvie, haven't seen any play performed for ages. I am A. Phyllis Stein. I think i was put off after watching/ enduring a monologue in France for 2 hrs (must have been punishment for going just cos i fancied a girl!) But as a kid i was impressed when someone on Henry IV part 2 had his head cut off- yes, i witnessed it with my own eyes from quite close up, his head clearly came off- at Ludlow castle. Romeo and Juliet was entertaining but i had a car crash after seeing Henry V. Must have come from saying M*c*e*h instead of "the Scottish play". How to torture a stage actor; ve hef vays of making you tok! I love that scene in Blackadder 3 (TV series).

I'm not afraid to say "Macbeth".
"The devil himself could not pronounce a title more hateful to mine ear" (M*c*e*h, Act v, Sc 7)
