- 1. Irresistible Bliss (1996)
- This shows the band at their best, with witty songs and good music beneath the lyrics. Soft Serve, 4 Out of 5, and Soundtrack to Mary are the highlights, but the whole album flows extremely well.
- 2. Ruby Vroom (1994)
- A solid debut, this has the band’s absolute best song, Screenwriter’s Blues, on it. There are some weaker moments, but this is well worth the listen, and has a great closing track in the sweet Janine.
- 3. El Oso (1998)
- Starts a little slow, finds its apex with Circles (track 3), and then proceeds to fall apart. It’s hard to say exactly what went wrong, but it grates on the ears pretty quickly. Skip this one.

Soul Coughing is a now defunct band that specialized in some offbeat rock & roll, featuring a singer with a penchant for scat-style singing. This is how the albums rate.
