Wow. For one dollar, our campus film society showed A Hard Day's Night and hosted The Return, a Beatles tribute band. From moptop to high-heeled boots, the boys were well suited to the part. If you just focused on the tops of their skulls, you could pick out which Beatle each man was supposed to be. 'Paul' had his Rickenbacker, 'Ringo' his Ludwig drums. They bowed after every song, and every song was preceded by someone saying "we'd like to carry on..." And they were dead-on musically. It was so much fun. I'm gonna keep looking for a successor to the Fab Four, but I'm not going to keep high hopes.
