These are songs that move me or affect me in different ways for different reasons. Basically, these are the songs that give me chills running down my spine. These are the songs that are the most important in my life.
Not always the best...but definitely the most important.
If anyone could get me full MP3 files of any of the songs I don't have audio for, or whose files are only samples, that would be much appreciated!

This is an excellent list. My personal favourites of the lot (right now at least) are Piano Man, Here Comes the Sun and Mr Blue Sky.
Thank you!
"Mr. Blue Sky" is my favorite song of all time. I first heard it in the brilliant trailer for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and I've been big on ELO ever since.
I'm glad that you dig the list...I am far from being any kind of musical expert, so I was wondering if my taste would be suspect. :-D
Well, my music taste lacks street cred somewhat - but this list seems perfectly credible to me! :D
Glad you like ELO. Do you know "Wild West Hero" or "Sweet Talkin' Woman"?
I haven't heard "Wild West Hero"--and an audio search on Dogpile turned up nothing--but "Sweet Talkin' Woman" is very good.
Other favorites of mine are "Showdown," "Turn to Stone," and "Livin' Thing." They are great!
I'd be willing to send a copy of Wild West Hero your way via e-mail or some such if you wanted to hear it (It's my favourite ELO song). Glad you like Sweet Talkin' Woman! :) And Livin' Thing is also excellent, yep. (I quite like the other two you mention, but not as much.)
I'd appreciate the file! My e-mail address is whedonite@sbcglobal.net.
Sent it your way yesterday - did you receive it yet?
Yep, I got it! Sorry it took me so long to reply; I had to attend a funeral over the weekend.
But the song was awesome, and I sent you another e-mail. :-)
I'm really glad you liked it! :-)
