I know I'm not qualified enough to make a list of the greatest songs ever made. These are just some songs that I could listen to over and over without getting tired of them. Right now I'm keeping it to 3 songs per artist.
Also, I'm trying to avoid the really huge songs that I enjoy, like BNL's "One Week", Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl", TMBG's "Particle Man", Springsteen's "Born to Run", DMB's "Ants Marching", a good number of the Beatles' biggest hits, etc. I love all those songs, but I think it'll make the list more interesting if I avoid songs like those. However, if I'm not very familiar with an artist, and I really like their biggest hit (e.g., Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride", Stevie Wonder's "Superstition", etc.), it'll be on this list. In general, the more familiar I am with a band, the more obscure the songs will be.
I'm also trying to get some diversity of albums. I don't think there are any two songs here from the same album.
