- Gabriel Garcia Marquez, _Cien A~nos de Soledad_ (Available widely in English translation as _One Hundred Years of Solitude_. This is my 4th time rereading it. I make it a point to reread it every so often when I get the "time to head to Macondo" urge. If anyone reads one book out of Latin America and nothing else, this is it. Anyhow, this is my all time favorite.)

These are a few of the books I recall reading in 2004, at least the ones I wrote about in my journal. 2004 was a bit of a transition year for me: new job, new place to live, thus writing fell a bit off the side. At any rate, I think I managed to get in some classice as well as other items. I did the one for 2005, and I figured, why not list some of the ones for 2004 too?
