Silverscreen Archive, which used to be called Classicflix, is a Netflix-alternative for films from the first two-thirds of the Twentieth Century. Netflix carries none of the films on this list.
Do you like ClassicFlix? I have thought about joining there for the movies Netflix doesn't have...
Yes, I've been very successful with them. They provide good customer service, except for being so far away. It's an excellent service if you are desperate to see a film that's unavailable elsewhere, and you don't mind if the picture or sound quality is not up to current standards. Some of the DVDs are taken from VHS, and the VHS originals were made from poor film prints, so read the descriptions and decide if you can tolerate that. They will let you know what quality to expect.
